PIN Code Door Entry Peripheral Overview
Our PIN Code door entry peripheral provides fast, contactless access control with an extremely robust casing suitable for harsh environment installations. Authorised employees gain access by entering their secure PIN or by presenting their assigned RFID badge or keyfob to the device’s built in proximity sensor. The unit has a sleek, unobtrusive design, making it suitable for public areas or office environments. Door entry peripherals connect to a primary access control terminal such as the ClockRite AC100 via weigand.
Access Control Methods
The PIN Code door entry peripheral offers two distinct access control methods. The device works as a switch, ensuring the door mechanism can only be opened by authorised staff. Access control is quick, secure, and fully reportable.
Secure PIN Code
Authorised employees gain access by entering their unique access code on the door entry peripheral’s tactile keypad.
RFID Proximity
Authorised employees gain access by presenting their assigned RFID badge or keyfob to the door entry peripheral.
Entry/Exit and Multiple Door Access Scenarios
The PIN Code door entry peripheral can be used in tandem with our AC100 Proximity, AC240 (IP Rated), and AC260 (WiFi) biometric door access control devices to manage entry and exit on either side of a single door, or to control movement through two or more nearby entry points. All devices are centrally managed through our PC based access control software.
Permissions, Time Zones, and Live Monitoring
The PIN Code door entry peripheral is linked to our intuitive software, making it easy to monitor and manage employee movement between areas. Door access permissions can be specified by role, responsibility, or department/group. Once the system is configured, your assigned in-house administrator can enroll and manage users and access credentials with ease.
